A journey of football, emotions and friendship: the VnL Football Academy Under-13s take center stage at the Thunder Bay Chill International Tournament, the only Italian team among Canada’s finest.
Some experiences are not measured in days, but in emotions. From July 30 to August 5, the VnL Football Academy Under-13s lived one of those unforgettable adventures that go far beyond results and scorelines. A full week in Canada, in Thunder Bay, competing in the prestigious international tournament organized by Thunder Bay Chill.

As the only Italian team invited, crossing the ocean meant much more than a long flight. It was a leap into something new, something big, something extraordinary. From day one, the fresh Ontario air and wide North American skies set the scene for an intense and inspiring experience.
On the pitch, the young VNL players faced Canadian opponents with different playing styles, physicality and pace. Match after match, they learned how to react, adapt and grow. They ran, fought, celebrated. They represented Italy with pride, carrying with them sporting values, respect and the belief that football speaks a universal language.
Off the field, the journey worked its magic too: new friends, new cultures, new habits. Every smile, every handshake and every laugh shared with their Canadian peers left a lasting mark. The camp was not just about training sessions and matches — it was a bridge between distant worlds, an experience that helped the boys grow not only as footballers, but as people.
VNL Football Academy returns home with bags full of emotions, pride and stories to tell. And those boys, who took their first real steps as an international team, will carry with them the awareness that they can go far — literally and figuratively.
Because when football is lived like this, it becomes much more than a game: it becomes an adventure that teaches, unites and lights the way forward. And in Thunder Bay, the future of VNL’s young champions began to shine just a little brighter.
